It Is Understood

There was a resent email that captured an article written by a man named Ben Stein (copy of article) which made a very interesting point about what he thought it means to be a "star" in today's world - However, when he finished his article he signed off with this statement:

"Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will."

We see what Ben is trying to say with this statement and are in agreement with his intention but we additionally think that if we believe God is who he says He is... then by default it is understood He can, He will, He might say no, He might say yes... He is all things - Again, we feel Ben is trying to be positive and encourage people to strengthen their faith to a more confident level... but faith must be based upon believing God is all he says He is (ie the creator of heaven and earth... the righteous judge who's ways are perfect)

Father God, we pray our faith is grounded solidly on the rock... Jesus the Christ... forgive us our trespasses  

We believe the Holy Spirit has an unmistakable voice... if we listen with our heart
