80 / 20 Rule |

Have you ever heard the axiom “80/20 rule”… it takes 20% of the effort to get the first 80% of the project complete and then the remaining 80% of the effort to get the last 20% of the project complete – Well, it seems this is the case for several of us Christians today – We seem to start off going to church every Sunday, reading our Sunday School lessons every week, and even singing in the Church choir – Then over time everything starts to get complex and complicated – Never enough time to attend special events, or the extra money to contribute to the outreach/inreach programs, and never mind the scripture memory verses ;-) Yes, the Holy Spirit must work 80% harder on refining the last 20% of our sanctification Why not pitch in this week and give the Lord a blessing by doing a couple things you’ve already been trained to do: invite a neighbor to Church, donate an extra $10.00 to the building fund, call your cousin and tell them you love them – I know God will be smiling and saying “that’s it my child…. I have knew you could be trusted to follow my ways... plse keep up the good work” Lord, in Jesus name we pray for your perfect will be done in our lives more quickly than we would have thought sothat your glory might be seen more magnificently by everyone around us… we love you Lord and we know you love us – Amen Proverbs 22: 6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. PS - This also means we are 80% there and the Holy Spirit is more than able to finish the good work that has begun in us.... hallelujah thank you Jesus We believe the Holy Spirit has an unmistakable voice... if we listen with our heart Amen |
